Primarily a variety of Pellet foods and Frozen Foods. I had just started a pretty heavy regime of Rod's Food, and that may have had something to do with increased conditioning (and the resultant spawn)

Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
Didn't notice any
Spawning Behavior:
Didn't notice any - was not observed
Post Spawn Behavior:
Noticed both suspected males showing courtship dress (3 vertical tan lines, first on the nose ,then the nape, and finally the shoulder). Actually noticed the larger male doing a "leading" dance to the smallest fish (suspected female) - this is not unlike the "luring" dance a dottyback does to convince the female to enter the male's cave, although perhaps less "serpentine swimming" when compared with a dottyback. What really gave it away however, was watching a damsel go through nest care type behavior on the underside of a flat rock...I had to pull the rock out of the water so I could visually confirm that there WERE in fact eggs.

Location:
underside of a flat rock (the base of a cultured coral)

Other Details:

Totally caught off guard by this spawning event. It is important to note that it was FISH BEHAVIOR that clued me in that there was something going on. Even in plain view, the eggs were very hard to discern.
