Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
These two were originally part of a group of 5. They picked on and ultimate killed two of the others in the group, the third was removed after the first two died. They paired off and have claimed the right side of the tank, while my Snowflake Ocellaris mainly keep to the left side.
Spawning Behavior:
Spawning was not observed, but I did walk in almost immediately after the spawn occurred and was able to observe a few eggs still hanging from the female. The males mouth is full of eggs, lower jaw bulging.
Post Spawn Behavior:
Male retreated to rock cave, not eating. Female is eating well and spending time in both the rock cave and in the water column.
