Several of the shrimp had eggs upon purchase and the group spawned nearly continuously since the time of introduction. This particular spawn was photographed and that is why it's the one being reported.

Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
None noted, they seem to just go about their regular business. If the shrimp has eggs, sometimes you see it fanning them a bit more frequently a couple days before a hatch and subsequent spawn.
Spawning Behavior:
None noted since spawning occurs in the dark after molting
Post Spawn Behavior:
The shrimp is carrying eggs and hides a bit more for a couple days after the molt and spawn.

Size: |
Not measured, estimate a millimeter or so
Color: |
Greenish
Quantity: |
Not counted, but often hundreds based on how many larvae are collected
Description:
Eggs are greenish shortly after the spawn and change to a white/silver-ish as hatching nears
Location:
Eggs are carried by the adult under the abdomen/tail by the pleopods
Other Details:
I can't be certain this spawn occured on this precise day; I can only say it is when I noted the shrimp had eggs and I decided to photograph it. It is likely that the shrimp had the eggs for a few days already since it was out in the open and not hiding like it typically does post-molt/spawn.
