Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
The male lets the female spend more time in the water column feeding without harassing her as badly for a day or two before they spawn. Her belly looks like it's going to pop.
Spawning Behavior:
Unwitnessed at the exact time of spawn.
Post Spawn Behavior:
The female retreats again to her caves in the upper rear of the tank. She has missing scales where you can see she's been bitten and her fins have a few small tears. Her abdomen is flat again and back to "normal" size.
