Feeding
Food: |
Rotate food type each day: Hikari frozen mysis, Hikari frozen brine shrimp (regular and algae enriched), PE Mysis, Rod's Food blend
Feeding Schedule:
Initially fed twice daily but at the second feeding they were disinterested and a lot of food just sank to the bottom while they hid at the back of the tank. Changed feedings to once daily, as much as they will eat.

Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
The day or two before the spawn takes place they eat more than usually and they make a lot of "jerky" movements around the tank that I don't normally see.
Spawning Behavior:
The day of the spawning, male and female line up side by side, quivering and shaking for about half a minute, then they separate for a longer period of time. This repeats over and over, sometimes for a few hours or sometimes all day long. Twice they've spawn during the middle of the day and once after the lights went out.
Post Spawn Behavior:
They usually separate for a little while, and then the female comes back and makes several more jerky movements around the male, similar to the pre-spawn behavior but more focused. She continues following him around the tank, making sudden movements but staying close by.
