I purchased them in November of 2012. The shop told me they were a return from a customer that bought them about a year before that time. So at least a year and two months.

I do four feedings a day, two of the dry food and two of the frozen mix.

Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
They were a bonded pair when I got them so I never witnessed them figuring out each others role/gender. They wiggled around each other, very little nibbling of each other, cleaning of the flower pot that they spawned in.
Spawning Behavior:
Cleaning the flower pot other wise not actually witnessed.
Post Spawn Behavior:
Both male and female seem to be tending the eggs, nibbling them and waving them.
Egg Details
Size: |
2mm
Color: |
orange, they are shadowed from where they are laid so the hue isn't clear to see
Quantity: |
maybe two dozen
Description:
2mm long 1mm wide orange ovals
Location:
They laid the eggs on the inside of a clay flower pot on the top side. The clutch is obviously their first as it is very scattered and only about 2 dozen eggs.
Other Details:
I bought this pair as a pre established pair, I dont know if they have ever spawned before but by the looks of it I think this is their first.
