Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
Males spend a lot of time being aggressive towards and in generally trying to dominate each other. Females tend to lurk quietly in the caves. Actual egg transfer not witnessed, but I have seen mating behavior, where female and male align their bodies, and both swim on their sides together, undersides touching.
Spawning Behavior:
Not observed.
Post Spawn Behavior:
Very much like pre-spawning behavior. The pregnant male often is more reserved, and lurks in caves now, but when he is out of the caves, he is one of the more aggressive fish in the tank.
