Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
both fish are non-aggressive towards each within the 10g tank. The male mostly stays inside the tube only coming out to eat. The female swims around the tank but never goes inside the tube unless they are spawning.
Spawning Behavior:
twitching displays by the male before both entering into the PVC tube
Post Spawn Behavior:
only the male enters the tube. Male will even forgo eating if I'm trying to use that time to look at the eggs. very protective over the clutch.

Other Details:
The date noted for spawning(2/19/12) was the first day I noticed the eggs within the tank. Egg development, both eyes visible, suggests actual spawn date at least a few days earlier. I did not attempt to collect these eggs for hatching.
