Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
Pair closely follow each other all over the tank and were very peaceful. Male stays quietly near the bottom away from the other fish and is no longer interested in feeding. The female has become agressive, frequently leaving the male to chase the PJ cardinals off to topwater and opposite side of the tank. The maroons are also on that side of the tank, rather than free roaming as usual, but no agression toward them has been observed.

Spawning Behavior:
|
Female stays close to male and swims side-by-side with him near bottom of tank, and occasionally quivers very fast, fins and all.

It just happened in the last couple of hours and they are still swimming closely together off by themselves near the bottom.
