Feeding

Food: |
Various meaty frozen foods. A combination of various brands of mysis, enriched brine, marine cuisine, emerald entree, angel & butterfly food, etc. Occasional Spectrum pellets.

Feeding Schedule:

2-4 times a day. My wife and I both feed, some days more than others. We rarely compare notes, so there is much variation in the feeding schedule.

Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
They are always together, loving their anemone(s).
|
Spawning Behavior:
|
Female extends ovipostor, and swims slowly over the rock near their anemone, depositing eggs. Male follows immediately afterward, fertilizing the eggs. This continues for appx. 1/2 hour. Female bites at the anemone to keep it away from the nest site during actual spawning.

Post Spawn Behavior:
|
Male fans and cleans eggs very frequently. Both of them guard the eggs, keeping other tank inhabitants away.
