I've had them together about 2 months. I think these fish are siblings, though, as I got them from a fellow breeder. They may have grown up together

Male swims in and out of closed end 1inch PVC. Female cruises the tank or goes under the PVC structure.

Male is wrapped around the egg ball and doesn't come out of the PVC unless he thinks its time for a meal.

Spawn date: they spawned sometime between 7am Aug 30, 2011 and 6pm Aug 31, 2011. I was out of town. I know I checked them the morning before I left. The eggs were there when I got back.
Also, this is the pair that were in the growout system, not the broodstock system. They are in with 3 refugee black ocellaris (bullying issues) in a low 20 gallon ancient Oceanic aquarium hooked to a 120 gallon system, with chronic low pH, 7.2 to 7.5 at best. I do regular water changes to keep the pH that high….
