pair had been together for 1month, 2 days. both fish were purchased seperated unpaired. male was purchased in july of 2010. female was purchased dec or 2010.

new life spectrum pellet, ocean nutrition attison's betta pro. frozen spirulina brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, frozen krill, kelp/spirulina/saltwater algae mixture, clam, mussle, squid. supplimented with silcon and seachem garlic guard.

randomly 5times a day, 4 pellet feedings, 1 frozen feeding with all ingredients mixed.

lots of cleaning

Spawning Behavior:
|
female cleaned pot heavily until mouth turned white, male also cleaned heavily. female laid eggs, male fertilize but eat eggs as well. male is most likely still young and needs time to get it right.

Post Spawn Behavior:
|
eggs were all eaten, male continues cleaning, female not so much anymore. both resume normal behavior before the spawn.
