Time Together:
(how long have you had the pair before this event)
I've had these guys in my tank since March 2009 and they've been breeding since then. Whether these two snails that spawned are nearly 2 years old or if they're babies from the original group I have no idea.

Spawn Details
Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
Nothing in particular, typical snail behavior, crawling on glass, eating algae
Spawning Behavior:
Female makes an egg packet on the glass and deposits between 2-8 (usually 5-7 from what I've seen) eggs inside the hard case.
Post Spawn Behavior:
After the female is done laying she crawls away and resumes eating algae...no parental care at all.

Very tiny, white in color, inside of a transparent egg packet which protects the eggs/larvae while they're developing.

Usually on the glass, though I think any hard surface works.

Pictures of parents and newly laid eggs will be posted shortly in my breeding journal.
