Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
This pair has been inseparable since being introduced. They live in a burrow under a rock bommie and can be seen together under the rock when not coming out to the edge of the burrow for feedings.

Spawning Behavior:

The pair stay near each other when out of the den for feeding.

Post Spawn Behavior:
|
The male does not come out of the den after the eggs are laid, but can be seen circling the egg sack and fanning it. The female appears outside the den as usual during the day .

Description:
|
The color is bright yellow, the same color as the parent fish, but darkens to olive green with silver dots before hatching. The individual eggs are somewhat visible, making the sack look as if it's beaded.

The egg sack is attached to the underside of a rock inside the burrow.
