Pre-Spawn Behavior: |
The male 'herded' the female into the nesting site with something that almost resembled aggression. The female displayed her ovipositor for 2 weeks before the spawn and retracted it the day after.

The male stays with the nest constantly even at night while sleeping inside the shell. Before, he always slept with his mate.
