Perfectly normal as before...nothing about their behavior tipped me off that there had been a spawn...I just got lucky and found the egg mass. I had assumed this pair was spawning for a while, but had no proof.

The eggs are all stuck together in a ball. Interesting to note that I harvested the egg mass via siphon and it broke apart, but it all re-congealed together in the egg tumbler!

The male in this pair was a "replacement" and initially they did not get along...they were two random "adult" Ps. flavivertex thrown together. They are almost the same size, although the male is far more blue than the female....I think that's due to diet or care or different genetic lines, not so much to do with sex. Arguably, this pairing is likely the result of the bidirectional hermaphrodism suggested by Wittenrich in his 2007 book, which I also proved with Ps. cyanotaenia a couple years back.
