Methodologies |
Feeding Tactics/Medium: |
Indoor culture kept with periodic additions of rotifers and other pods as are available.
Daily additions of a few drops to a ml of Roti-Grow+ as well as occasional N-Rich. And an equal volume of chloramX.
|
Split Cycle: |
Every few weeks, decant to a clean bucket. Sieve out half of the pods, return to bucket. Add clean saltwater to replace volume. I feed these to whatever larvae I have going. Everybody loves tiggerpods! |
Split Yield: |
I haven't counted them. At one time I could remove 8 bottles of tiggers at the density in the video or greater, every couple of weeks, and expect there to be more in a week. They are very prolific and easy to culture. |
Number of Cultures: |
At one point 3, outdoor, indoor, fridge. |
Number of Splits: |
too many to count |
Density: |
I can't count them.
|
Harvest Methology: |
I collect them on a plastic coffee filter, and rinse them with a spray bottle filled with clean saltwater. Then backwash into a collection cup. One gallon yeilds a lot of T. californicus. |
Adjustments Made: |
many, with no impact on survival. Sturdy little tiggers…. |
