Methodologies |
Feeding Tactics/Medium: |
saltwater with live nanno (often throw this in there with splits from nano cultures), spirulina powder (first dissolved in hot saltwater), and glycerin free nanno paste (from BSD) 1 cube every 2 nights.
|
Split Cycle: |
never split, just harvest a net a day (or however often I want/need it). Reference harvest methodology for more on this.
|
Split Yield: |
never split, just harvest a net a day (or however often I want/need it). Always have more than enough. Can take a net of a ~30 individuals for a feeding.
|
Number of Cultures: |
NEVER goes below 100 individuals. But consistently 200. |
Number of Splits: |
none, just harvest for feeding as needed. |
Density: |
20-40 "pre-adults & ADULTS only" per gallon of water.
|
Harvest Methology: |
3" regular fish net to harvest adults for feeding. 1/2 to 1 scoop as often as needed. (at least once a week).
Sieve through entire bucket once a week and pull out half of the juveniles in the size range of 560µm-900µm individuals for feeding Banggai's.
***ALL BRINE, NO MATTER THE SIZE, ARE RINSED/ DUNKED INTO FRESH TAP WATER FOR A MINIMUM OF 20 SECONDS BEFORE GETTING FRESH SALT WATER PRIOR TO FEEDINGS!*** |
Adjustments Made: |
Water changes are once every 2 weeks. Decanting culture along with a juvenile pre adult harvest occurs every few days, usually at least 2 times a week. |
