Fry Size: |
about 3/8 inch in length |
Food: |
#3 tub: Parvocalanus and Pseudodiamptimus copepods, and tiny amount RotiGreen with twice daily additions of live algae
(#1 tank: rotifers and RotiGreen; #2 tub: rotifers, few Parvocalanus copepods, and RotiGreen with some additions of live algae; )
|
Feeding Schedule: |
Copepods proliferated, and I removed some as needed to keep the prey concentration about 10 per ml and Live phytoplankton supplemented with occasional RGreen, to keep the color of the tank cloudy and slightly green. |
Fry Description: (Pre Settlement) |
Very fish shaped, like a tear drop, thick in the body, with long fins, darker at the rear, opaque towards the head with small dots on the head between the eyes. |
Fry Description: (Post Settlement) |
White headband and middle band at metamorphosis. Beautiful green eyes. :-) |

Other Information: |
The fish in this tub was warmer(80F) than the other tub by one degree, so I expect the other tub(79F) will meta tomorrow. The fish in the rotifer glass tank are at 78F, so that in itself would indicate that they are behind the other two tubs.
The fish that underwent meta first was the warmest condition, only received copepods, had the fewest survivors, and was the least expected to survive. |
