Other Information: |
I removed the eggs prematurely on the evening of the 19th, as I was expecting a hatch on that night (the 19th to 20th). Instead, the hatch came on the night starting the 20th going into the 21st.
The eggs themselves were mostly fertile, but maybe 5% in the egg mass were dead when I harvested. In this first hatch report, my hatch rate was probably less than 0.1%. I blame this on my incubator, the early pulling, and not realizing that hitting the eggs with LIGHT a couple hours after lights out may actually STIMULATE a hatch. |
