Other Information: |
Attempted to rear larvae in a white 5 gallon bucket as all other larval rearing spaces were occupied. White 5 gallon bucket was not the ideal choice of a rearing environment - larvae seemed highly attracted to the white sides. Longest survival on larvae was 27+ days. I *may* have had settlement as the larvae was last seen hiding by the heater in the bucket and tinged a rust color. As I have no *proof* of settlement, I will not be submitting a settlement report.
Ultimately, this project came to a tragic end, as the male murdered the female in the tank one day. I may revisit this species in the future - I'm currently working with either this species or a very similar one, and may see success yet! |
