The egg tile was not sterilized before putting in the larval tank for a hatch. It was left in for two nights although I can't say if many (or any) hatched the second night. After that it was clear that the eggs had begun to fungus and the tile was removed. The majority of the larvae from this hatch died within a day of hatch. Not certain if this was directly related to the hatching technique or not. |
