Larvae Description:
( Do larvae have eyes, mouth, gut, attracted to light, etc?) |
Larvae are fully formed with mouth, eyes, gut. Attracted to BRIGHT BLUE OBJECTS. Theorized that since they hatch in the day, they are not simply "positively phototrophic" (attracted to light) but in fact, they might be attracted to the color blue (which would be the color of "UP", the SKY, to a larvae that hatches in the daytime hours). |

Other Information: |
NOTE - spawn date is not accurate because spawnings were never observed. 10-25-2009 is a GUESS.
Larvae were typically collected by scooping out into a specimen cup. Then, placed collected larvae in a 10 gallon tank with blacked out sides for rearing. |
