Other Information: |
I have snails of various sizes in my tank now, some are around 11mm while others are around 5-6 I am doubtful that a snail will grow 1mm in a week so I'm going to track the growth of the shell so I can get a more accurate measurement on the age of these snails.
I have tracked shell growth for a few days, the shell grows ~0.0023in per day. To find more information please refer to the posts on this in my breeding journal. http://www.masm.org/mForums/tm.aspx?m=38614
For the settlement date I took a snail which is 8.39mm and subtracted 2mm since that is how large the snail is at settlement and I divided 6.39mm by the growth of th snail per day which is 0.058mm and came up with the number of ~110 days post metamorphosis as of 6/10/10. Hopefully this makes sense. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I just waited 60 days for metamorphosis. |
