Culturing Vessel Details
Temperature:	70 ° F
pH:	unknown/ not tested
Specific Gravity:	1.018- 1.020

Lighting:	ambient room lights
Lighting Schedule:	generally 9am - 10pm with some 24 hour light from a sump light that is nearby.

Methodologies
Feeding Tactics/Medium:	1ml per day of rotigrow plus and 1ml per day of chloramX for ammonia control
Split Cycle:	not on a schedule, I just remove water maybe once a week or so and then add fresh 1.018 water
Split Yield:	unkown

Harvest Methodology:	I harvest with rotifer floss and a pvc filter. I scoop some out every other day or so poor it through the filter and then feed the collected rotifers to either my reef or baby clowns if I have some.

Other Information:	I have read that small strain rotifers like warmer water temps. I may have just been lucky culturing them in the warmest months ( July - October) but so far no heaters have been used, they are at room temp. I did crash one of the cultures at some point but I just used the second one to restart it. I don't have a microscope so the pics I can get really don't give much of an idea of what your looking at.

Hi Mike, Can you take a sample of rotifers to M Pedersen's house and get a microscopic picture of the little guys? I would like to confirm that these are rotundiformis. Thanks.

I posted a pic, its a pic from my scope on my computer that was then emailed to myself and then screen shot from my iPhone and then emailed to myself and then put on the forum so… its not that great. If you would like more or clearer pics I can do that.
