Temperature:	70-80 ° F

>Vessel Description:	4L water pitchers or other containers of approximately the same size. I have always used clear containers so I can see how the culture is doing.
Lighting:	Ambient light from a southern facing window supplemented by a two-bulb strip light
Lighting Schedule:	6 AM to 9 PM

Feeding Tactics/Medium:	Live Tetraselmis, Isochrysis, or Chaetoceros as needed (when water clears)
Split Cycle:	Cultures are harvested when copepods are needed or when densities in the water pitchers get high (determined by eye)

Other Information:	I have had rotifers contaminate these cultures from time to time and although neither seems too bothered by it, I don't like it. To get rid of the rotifers I essentially starve them out by not feeding for at least a week. The A. panamensis handle this pretty well. I then split the culture pretty heavily and feed very, very lightly for several weeks until the Apocyclops population blooms. Sometimes a second "starvation" period is also needed to get rid of the remaining rotifers.
