| Feeding Tactics/Medium: |
Guillard's f/2 12-15 drops per bottle. With 2 liter bottles I've used 20 drops. New salt water with Instant Ocean or Reef Crystals, made with tap water and no additional bleach when mixed specifically for the phyto cultures. If I have NSW for rotifers, etc, I will sterile with 1 ml household bleach per gallon, then dechlorinate with AmQuel at time of use. All water is diluted to 1.020 SG.

Approximately every 2-3 days, oldest culture is split using 1/3 of its volume to seed newly prepared bottle. With the 4 bottles I'm running, it works out to about 10-11 days for each bottle to "mature".

Two-thirds of "ripe" culture is used for rotifer, tigriopus feed, or added to coral frag tank.

Process is working nicely so far. I plan to enhance my lighting when I increase my number of bottles in production, probably to a 24-36 inch flourescent setup placed lengthwise behind the bottles.
