Culturing Vessel Details
Temperature:	72-74 ° F

Specific Gravity:	Ranges from 1.020 to 1.026
>Vessel Description:	Various. 1 liter Erlenmeyer flasks, 2 liter media bottles, 2 liter soda bottles, 2 gallon fishbowls, 3 gallon carboys.
Lighting:	Ambient fish room light.
Lighting Schedule:	Typically 18H on / 8H off.

Methodologies
Feeding Tactics/Medium:	Keep very, very lightly tinted with live phytoplankton. Usually just Isochrysis, or Iso with Pavlova and/or Tetraselmis added when they are available.
Split Cycle:	Remove 25-50% of the culture and replace with new, pasteurized saltwater of matching salinity and temperature as necessary, usually every 4-6 days or so.
Split Yield:	Varies, but usually about 30% of the volume of the culture being split.
Number of Cultures:	Varies. Usually about 6.
Number of Splits:<	Not counted
Density:	Varies from < 1 per ml to > 10 per ml.
Harvest Methodology:	Sieve split culture water through a 27 micron sieve. Backwash sieved copepods into larval container.
Adjustments Made:	Overall, I have reduced the amount of phytoplankton being fed, and also reduced the air bubble rate, from what I was originally doing and both adjustments seem to have yielded better results.

Jim, I'm still getting a grasp on the food culture reports - you don't include the "Feed" anywhere in the opening post? Are we omitting something (eg. you have the algae listed in the culture media here...shouldn't it also be there in the journal?)

I fixed it, but honestly, I think the problem you pointed out lies in the inconsistent field naming. In the Report, the field is named "Feeding Tactics/Medium", and in the Journal first post, it is simply "Culture medium description". The journal doesn't ask about "feed", per se. In the case of phytoplankton, the medium and the feed are really usually one and the same thing, but with copepods, they are different, in my mind. The "media" is the water they are raised in and the feed is a separate thing added to the "media". At least, that is my interpretation. Maybe the real problem is that "Media" isn't really the right word to use for the zooplankters? At any rate, food is now described briefly in the Journal first post. I'm pointing people to the detailed notes in the Journal, because almost this whole, lengthy journal is all about my process of learning the correct amount of food to provide these copepods to be able to sustain a healthy culture.
