Here's a crazy one. As you know, coming up with a species for all but a few corals is nearly impossible. This one, despite being very distinctive looking, is kind of iffy still. Here's the quote from Cory:
"I received a E-mail from Dr Catherine McFadden she said 'Based on a superficial look at them under a dissecting scope,Im certain they are Xeniids belonging to either Sarcothelia or Sansibia' DNA is still being worked."
At any rate, sexual reproduction with these is very, very easy. It's a good place for people to start who want to get into coral reproduction. |
