If Challenging Existing Classification |
Reasons Species Should be Reclassified: |
In talking with Andy Rhyne tonight, it was remarked that if we were to compare the rearing of L. debelius, to say, the rearing of virtually any damselfish, that Damselfish would be notably more difficult by a long shot, whereas the only challenge with L. debelius is TIME. I looked back at our initial discussion for the species, it was originally submitted as a C, and some data caused is to go to D, but I'm suggesting perhaps it is time for another look. |

Consider this - Fire Shrimp are being captive bred and marketed by Dr. Rhyne and his teams at this time....but Cleaner Shrimp are not ;) Debelius in the past has always been more commercially available than amboinensis. This strikes me as a compelling case that there really must be a bit of ease in Debelius that is absent in amboinensis.
