Not sure how to classify this. There is one Alpheus species (A. heterochaelis; http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/mec.12398/abstract) that has abbreviated development, but the remaining species, though sometimes attempted in labs, do not and have not been done before (as far as I have found). |
