Do you have access to Andy's paper on settlement? Eg. for a larval time? I believe that's really the divergence between A and B for species in this complex...longer larval duration = more chances to screw up = more points awarded.

I don't. I have tried getting access even from my lab, but no luck.

Personal communication with Dr. Rhyne revealed the following:
1. Short [larval duration for a species of the complex] but you have to have the sponge for them to settle.
2. I had them spontaneously settle in a 135 days with out the sponge.
3. Difficult to even find, unless you "[get] someone to go dig some out of sponges." Which, I would assume, would also be the specific type of sponge required for proper quick settlement.

Lovely...Well here's to hoping now that I DON'T have this species lol.
Time to pull each one for a photoshoot and really get down to determining the species of this group.
