Name History Synonym of Synchiropus picturatus (Peters 1877), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Allen & Swainston 1988:132 [ref. 25477], Allen 1997:212 [ref. 23977]). • Valid as Pterosynchiropus occidentalis (Fricke 1983) -- (Hoese & Bray 2006:1588 [ref. 29000]). • Valid as Synchiropus occidentalis Fricke 1983 -- (Hutchins 2001:42 [ref. 25847], Fricke 2002:61 [ref. 26547]). |
